Fresh from his graduation from the Massachusetts Firefighting Academy, Ipswich’s newest firefighter has been sworn in in front of the Select Board.
Keith Leblanc, Jr., a lifelong resident of Ipswich, began his service to the town in September of 2022 when he was appointed as a Call Firefighter. The 2010 Ipswich High grad was hired to a full-time position last August. Last month, he graduated from the Massachusetts Firefighting Academy, where he was President of his class. Keith is also a licensed EMT.
Joining Keith at the Select Board Meeting were his mother Carol and father Keith Leblanc, Sr., a retired Ipswich Call Firefighter. The proud mom and dad pinned Badge #102 onto Keith Jr after he was sworn in by Town Clerk Andrea Pappalimberis.
Firefighter LeBlanc is currently assigned to C Shift under Lieutenant Sean Cronin.
