Some people only picture the fire department responding to fires. Well, we do a lot more than that! In a town like Ipswich, we encounter horses quite a bit, from people falling off, to stable fires, to having a horse trailer in a crash. Recently, Samantha Stevens from Cedar Tree Stables on Topsfield Road spent some time with our members, giving us some excellent training on how to handle the horses and help keep them safe should we encounter them in any type of emergency. We would like to thank Samantha and her staff for their hospitality, their wisdom, and their patience! Although we did some “horsing around”, we learned a lot about being around horses. Thank you!
