Ipswich Honors New and Veteran Firefighters

The Town of Ipswich officially welcomed a new Firefighter into its ranks, while honoring the years of service of more veteran members.

At the September 16th meeting of the Select Board, Firefighter Curtis Levasseur, an Ipswich native, was sworn in by Deputy Town Clerk Andrea Pappalimberis in front of the Board as well as his family, friends, co-workers. , .  Firefighter Levasseur is a 2015 graduate of Ipswich High School, and a Navy veteran, serving Active Duty from 2017 through 2022.  He recently graduated from the Massachusetts Fire Academy Career Recruit training program.  His badge was pinned on by his Dad, Scott Levasseur. 

It wasn’t only the Department’s newest member who received recognition. At the Town’s annual Employee Appreciation event, Firefighter Mike Sikora received his 15 year pin from Town Manager Stephen Crane, while Lieutenant Pat Dingle (10 years) and Firefighter Jack Bowen (5 years) were also honored.
